Markk is a social network for places, enabling users to discover, share, and curate locations through stories and lists. As part of an early-stage product team, I played a key role in shaping the iOS application, owning feature architecture, delivery, and long-term maintenance.

Key Contributions

• Starting with foundational Objective-C and iOS knowledge, quickly learned Swift and modern Swift practices, delivering production-ready features with improved maintainability.
• Actively contributed across the full development lifecycle, including feature planning, technical design, implementation, testing, and verification of new iOS capabilities.
• Collaborated closely with design and backend teams to define APIs, user flows, and UI interactions, ensuring smooth end-to-end feature delivery.
• Led end-to-end architecture planning and implementation for multiple iOS features, establishing clear ownership and scalable patterns as the product evolved.
• Built core social and discovery features, including location-based discovery using CoreLocation and media-rich storytelling experiences using AVFoundation.
• Implemented an Instagram-style story viewing experience with smooth photo and video playback, improving user engagement and content consumption.
• Developed custom media sharing templates with photo and video add-ons, enabling seamless sharing to external social platforms.
• Integrated Apple Push Notifications, including rich push notifications, to support timely user communication and engagement.
• Owned App Store publishing, release management, and ongoing application maintenance, ensuring stable deployments and reliable post-release support.
